Senior Cost Estimator

Galorath Federal is currently seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to work with The Battle Management PEO located at Hanscom Air Force Base. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, analytical skills and the capability to lead or principally contribute to some of the largest and most difficult studies that the company undertakes.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, creative, forward thinking and willing to help solve problems. 

You will:

  • Perform weapon systems cost estimating, processes, analytical methods and techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate data and develop cost analysis products.
  • Formulate conclusions and propose researched solutions to problems relating to improvement of cost estimating effectiveness.
  • Apply the principles, theories, and methods of cost estimation and analysis.
  • Develop cost estimating relationships and design cost estimating methods.
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques and interact with customers and colleagues expertly and effectively when resolving problems.
  • Initiate useful studies and analyses while keeping current of new weapon system tools and methodologies
  • Apply leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, multiple tasks and work requirements.
  • Apply highly effective customer service skills and work effectively with teams to foster a collaborative work environment across the organization.
  • Develop presentation materials for the delivery of updates to the client.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or engineering field is required with at least 24 semester hours in mathematical, statistical, engineering and/or quantitative analysis courses
  • Minimum of five (7) years of experience in DoD cost estimating with a minimum of ten (10) years of DoD acquisition experience 
  • Hands-on experience with the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACE-IT) software package and/or other packages to include PRICE and/or SEER-SEM are highly valued.
  • Intermediate/Advanced experience with Microsoft Products is required.
  • Strong client management skills
  • Proven success managing all phases of acquisition programs
  • Secret clearance required
